Suzy Benson is a 2015 graduate of Kent State University with an Ed.S. degree in
Mental Health Counseling, and is licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor. She
completed her internship in 2015 with Coleman Behavioral Health in Canton Ohio,
working with adults within the inner city population.
During the fall and spring of 2015/2016, she was employed with Pastoral Counseling
Services, dividing her work week between two Akron elementary schools. In both of
these positions, her duties included diagnosis, treatment planning, and application of
research-based therapeutic techniques in the school/office setting.
In December of 2015, she began working with Counseling for Wellness in Kent,
Ohio as a Mental Health Therapist in a group private practice setting. As well as
individual counseling with adults and teens, she also worked with families and
couples.
